Girls Win; Play Academy for TCIS Title Today

The girls soccer team, the defending TCIS champions and 2016 state runner-up, defeated Cape Henry, 2-1, on Wednesday and play at 4:30 today at ODU against Norfolk Academy for the 2017 TCIS title.

Shelby Hall broke a scoreless tie seconds into the second half with a goal against Cape Henry. Ashby Larkin added insurance with minutes left before Cape Henry scored a desperation goal to make it tight in the closing seconds.

The Oaks and the ‘dogs played to a 0-0 draw in the regular season.
