Girls Soccer at Home Tuesday in State Tourney

DSC_1869The girls soccer team, TCIS champions, plays a home state quarterfinal game against Richmond Collegiate Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

The girls are seeded second behind St. Catherine’s, last year’s state champions. They are also ranked second among all schools, public and private, in the state.

The Oaks defeated Richmond Collegiate, 6-2, in a game earlier this season.

On Friday, they captured the TCIS title with a 4-0 win over Hampton Roads Academy. Sarah Smith, who had a hat trick, was named tournament offensive MVP. Cameron Brown was named tournament defensive MVP.
