Boys Beat Cape Henry in Statement Game
The Oaks went down in the first quarter, but rallied, took a halftime lead, and then withstood the expected Cape Henry run on the way to an impressive 76-62 win Friday before a standing-room only crowd in the Treehouse.
Bash Townes was unstoppable inside, twisting and turning nimbly around the bucket to score 26 points.
Adam Grant handled the full court pressure by the fish and scored 17 on a variety of drives and bombs. Kyonze Chavis poured in 15 and newcomer Jakeim Robertson added 11.
The Oaks are atop the TCIS regular season standings and are 15-3 overall.
