Tennis Team Drops Tough Match

DSC_1221The score didn’t reflect it, but the girls varsity tennis team gave Nansemond-Suffolk Academy a tough tussle Tuesday with many of the individual matches going down to the wire.

At number three singles, Antonia Farny lost in three sets as did Kiersten Potter at number five singles. Brooke Walthall had a close, 7-5, 6-4, loss. The doubles team of Gabrielle Toomy and Rachel Brodsky lost 9-8.

We were right in there,” said Coach Debbie Meadows. “I was so proud of the effort my team put into the matches.”
