Tennis Team Sweeps Walsingham

DSC_0250In their first home match, the varsity girls tennis team swept past Walsingham Academy, 9-0, on Thursday, winning all the matches in straight sets.

On Tuesday afternoon, the teams lost to a strong Nansemond-Suffolk Academy squad. The girls fought hard. The lone victory came at the #2 doubles position when Antonia Farny and Natalie Jett won 8-5. Kiersten Potter gave everything she had at #5 singles but fell short, losing was 4-6, 7-5, 6-10.

The girls take on Hampton Roads Academy on Tuesday afternoon at HRA.
