Girls Come Roaring Back to Win

DSC_3181Kristin Rempas was hot from long range and the Oaks overcame a halftime deficit to roar back and defeat The Steward School, 51-40, in the opening round of the VISAA playoffs Tuesday at home.

Rempas finished with 21 points, including four three-point shots, and with Shahra Madison, who had 19 points, formed the bulk of the Norfolk Collegiate attack.

The girls, seeded sixth, play the Miller School, seeded third, tonight in Charlottesville.

NORFOLK COLLEGIATE: Fancher 8, Rempas 21, Purrington 1, Bashara 2, Madison 19.
