Tennis Team Loses to Academy; Showdown Next Week

The girls varsity tennis team dropped its match Tuesday to a top-ranked Norfolk Academy squad, 8-1.

But the Oaks, now ranked second in the state in Division II, play twice at home next week, taking on Peninsula Catholic on Tuesday and Hampton Roads Academy, ranked number one in Division II, on Thursday.

In the match against the Bulldogs, Madison Parker and Natalie Kanter were the bright spot for the Oaks, winning their number two doubles match, 9-8. Norfolk Academy is ranked number two in the state in Division I.
