Soccer Team Blanks NSA

With everyone contributing, the boys varsity soccer team cruised to its second victory, 4-0, over Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Wednesday at home.

“It was a complete team effort with everyone getting significant playing time,” Coach Kai Evans said. “The team continues to come together as one with individuals sacrificing notoriety and bolstered stat lines for team goals and togetherness.”

Michael Ortiz scored three times, including once on a header off a long punt by keeper Trey Ritter. Luke Siebert had the other goal for the Oaks. Ryan Russell and Chris Bianchi contributed assists from the midfield.

The squad hits the pitch again Tuesday at home against the Steward School.
