Girls Win, Advance to Friday Semifinal

DSC_5465Virginia Marshall, the leading scored in the TCIS this season, notched six goals as the Oaks defeated higher-seeded Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 10-7 Tuesday.

The team plays Covenant School, the tournament’s top seed, at Collegiate’s Robin’s Campus in Goochland at 1 p.m. on Friday. Covenant defeated eighth-seeded Steward 17-7.

This is the first trip to a state semifinal game for a Norfolk Collegiate girls lacrosse team. The game will be broadcast online on VISAA TV. http://visaa.tv/
