Girls Dominate Christian

DSC_5908The Oaks girls varsity team dominated possession, producing numerous scoring chances on the way to a 4-1 win over Norfolk Christian Saturday afternoon at the ODU soccer stadium.

Natalie Kanter drove a shot into the back of the net off a scramble after a corner to give Collegiate a 1-0 halftime lead. Then Cameron Brown, Virginia Sanford, and Natalie Batzel added skilled touch goals in the second half to seal the win.

Jessie Cavolt had another strong game in goal for the Oaks. The Christian win was the opener of the TCIS season.

The girls play at 4:30 Monday at home against archrival Norfolk Academy.
