JV Boys Fall Just Short

Jimmy Hurley made two clutch free throws to tie the game with less than half a minute left, but the Oaks lost on a last-second basket off a deflection, 54-52, to Norfolk Christian Thursday night at home.

Nonetheless, the game was the strongest of the season for the Oaks. Jack McCaffrey kept Collegiate in the contest, bombing one three-point shot after another.

Trey Ritter returned from a first-half injury and the Oaks played a taller Christian team tough in the lane.

The JV boys team plays Tidewater Academy at home Thursday at 7 p.m.
