Boys Hoops on a Roll: Down Ranked Great Bridge

DSC_3765The Oaks boys team rolled to their fifth straight win, 68-67, over sixth ranked Great Bridge Saturday in the Tidewater Holiday Classic.
Collegiate survived a late scare missing free throws to give the Wildcast (7-1) a chance to win it, but a buzzer-beating shot went errant. The Oaks trailed only once, 8-7, in the game and were in charge throughout.

Big Man Bash Townes dropped in 25 points and added a dozen rebounds to lead the Oaks. Adam Grant had 14 points and five rebounds while senior Teddy Rich chipped in ten points and five boards.

The boys played at home Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Sweetie Howlett Holiday Classic. There’s no school the next day. Come out and support the big men.
