Varsity Tennis Fourth in TCIS, Advances to State Tourney

The varsity girls tennis team earned fourth place in the TCIS tennis tournament held over two days, the first at Huntington Park in Newport News and the second at the Virginia Beach Tennis and Country Club in Virginia Beach due to the weather.

For the Oaks:
Aja Shelton placed third at the #1 singles position.

Sarah Mahoney placed fourth at the #2 singles position.

Madison Parker placed fourth at the #3 singles position.

Rachel Brodsky placed fifth at the #4 singles position.

Natalie Kanter placed third at the #5 singles position.

Emily Cole placed fourth at the #6 singles position.

All three doubles teams placed 4th at their respective position.

Congratulations to Aja Shelton for being named second Team all-conference in singles; congrats also to Aja Shelton & Madison Parker, who were named second Team all-conference in doubles as well.

The Oaks will be back in action in the State tournament.
