Girls Tennis Bows to Academy

The varsity girls tennis team lost 7-1 to Norfolk Academy at home on Wednesday afternoon.

The highlight of the match for the Oaks was the number one doubles contest, where Aja Shelton and Madison Parker emerged victorious, 9-7.

The number one singles match went into overtime, suspended by darkness. Aja Shelton won the first set, 7-6, but was losing 2-4 in the second set.

The Oaks take on Peninsula Catholic at Huntington Park next Tuesday, Oct. 9.
