Varsity, JV Girls Lose, But MS Team Triumphs

While the varsity and junior varsity girls volleyball teams lost to Nansemond Suffolk Academy on Friday, the middle school team emerged victorious.

Great serving by Sarah Smith and Julia Bianchi led the Oaks to the match win by scores of 25-19, 24-20, and 13-15.

The varsity team, led by seniors Alexis White and Taylor DeFord lost 14-25, 15-25, and 8-25.

The junior varsity team, led by sophomore Peyton Fancher lost 20-25, 20-25, and 13-15.

The varsity and junior varsity teams do not play again until Sept. 27.

The middle school team plays Tuesday at Norfolk Academy.
