Varsity Baseball Team Downs Walsingham

Will Daniel dominated on the mound, scattering four hits and striking out 12, and Jack Markey and Zach Morrison led the offense as the Oaks downed Walsingham 7-0 Tuesday in Williamsburg.

The Oaks jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, with key hits from Markey and Morrison. In the fourth, Sean Frazier and Morrison singled to lead off the inning, and Hunter Payne rocketed a shot off the right field fence to drive in both runners. As a team, eight of the nine starters contributed hits to the attack with Markey drilling three and Morrison two.

The Oaks play a TCIS game at Norfolk Academy Tuesday at 4:30, then play on the big stage at Harbor Park against Norfolk Christian at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
