Varsity Baseball Defeats Pennsylvania Team
The varsity baseball team took a commanding 9-5 edge into the seventh inning on Friday, surrendered the lead, and then came back to score the winning run in the bottom of the frame on a bases-loaded error with no outs to defeat Clearfield High School, a team from Pennsylvania barnstorming the South on spring break.
Cabell Thomas, who had walked to open the inning, scored the winning run. Zach Morrison homered to left center for the Oaks. Will Daniel, Jack Markey, and Hunter Payne shared duties on the mound.
