Girls Romp, Earn Semifinal TCIS Berth

Raven Evans and Briana Hale keyed a second-half surge that broke open a close game and gave the girls varsity a 65-44 romp over Nansemond-Suffolk Academy earning them a trip to tonight’s TCIS semifinal against Cape Henry Collegiate at Norfolk Christian School.

Tonight’s game begins at 5:30.

Evans, who had five bombs from downtown, and Hale each scored 21 points for the Oaks. Dee Maddox and Kristin Rempas added ten apiece.

The Oaks led only 25-22 at haltime, but controlled the game starting in the third quarter and hit foul shots down the stretch to pull away.
