MS Oaks End Season with Loss

The season for the eighth-grade Oaks came to an end on Saturday with a 39-24 loss to Hampton Roads Academy in the first round of the Cape
Henry League playoffs.

Collegiate fell behind early, but after a barrage of three pointers from Charlie Seerden and Jobin Chandi, the Oaks showed the Navigators they’d have a game on their hands.

A late run before the half-time buzzer pushed the lead back to 10 for HRA, but excellent free-throw shooting and a double-digit rebounding effort from Kenneth Wallace helped the Oaks keep the game within reach until the over-sized Navigators’ full-court press sealed the matter early in the fourth quarter.
