JV Boys Roll Over Christian

The JV boys hoops traveled down Granby Street to take on Norfolk Christian Thursday and they were ready for a battle, downing the Ambassadors, 63-46, in a big rivalry game.

Mighty Mark Howlett had a monster defensive night guarding Christian’s top scorer, but also putting up marquee numbers himself on the offensive end, pouring in a career-high 15 points and pulling down four defensive rebounds.

Mohit Chandi continued his run of double doubles with a season-high 23 points and 14 big boards.

Davis King had 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals in a big team effort by the Oaks.

Tonight, the varsity girls take on Norfolk Christian at 5:30 followed by the boys game at 7 p.m. at home in the friendly confines of Watt Baker Gymnasium.
