Varsity Boys Defeat Norfolk Academy

In a game of momentum shifts, the Oaks had the Big Mo when it counted down the stretch, defeating Norfolk Academy, 52-47 on the Bulldogs’ home court.

Norfolk Collegiate fell behind 11-4 early in the first quarter, then ran off 20 unanswered points to take a big lead. But Norfolk Academy came back, drawing within one, 26-25 at the half.

Down the stretch, Sean Peterson and Jack Markey hit key shots and free throws, giving the Oaks a cushion. The Oaks had balance across the board. Brandon Self led the team with 14. Markey scored 12, Zach Morrison eight, Peterson and Adam Ksanznak had six each, and Vince Thomas scored four.
