Young JV Girls Lose to Academy

The JV girls team fought fiercely and stayed within striking distance early in the game, but bowed to a bigger, older Norfolk Academy team Saturday.

Madison White, Alexis McGurn, Darden Purrington, and Hannah Beale had strong games inside while Natalie Batzel, Annie Bashara, Blair Hurley, and Ann Burns Morrison worked the press and wheeled and dealed outside. But the Bulldogs, with six tenth graders and six ninth graders on the squad, proved too tough for an Oaks team of mostly seventh and eighth graders.
